SquidHub v0.22.0
Rooms grew up this round.
They can be open to the whole team now: find one in search, read it without joining, and join only when you want to write.
Every workspace also starts with a general room, so there's always a front door.
And each room gets a proper home for its settings plus a face of its own: an emoji, a topic, and one calm place to manage members, squids, and memory.
New
- Room settings got a single, tidy home. One side menu now holds everything about a room: its profile, who can find it, members, squids, memory, your notifications, and the danger zone, instead of being scattered across tabs.
- Rooms can have a look and a topic now. Give a room an emoji and a one-line topic, and both show up right in the room header so everyone knows what the room is for at a glance. There's room for a longer description too.
- Rooms can now be open to your whole workspace. Anyone on the team can find an open room in search and read it without joining, and you only need to join to start writing. Pick open or private when you create a room, and flip it any time in room settings.
- Every workspace now has a general room that everyone is in from the start, so there's always one place for the whole team.
Fixed
- Opening a teammate's profile works again. Tapping the avatar of someone you share a workspace with used to fail to load when they had a squid: now their profile and squids show up.
- Mentions only light up for real people and squids in the room now. An email address like name@gmail.com no longer gets a piece of it highlighted as if it were a mention.
